More demolition at Kawerau school

DEMOLITION of the old Kawerau College buildings started on Wednesday with asbestos removal.
Edwina O’Brien, the Tarawera High School principal’s personal assistant, said demolition of the main buildings would begin on Monday next week.
Demolition of the old college buildings was part of the renovations and redevelopment of Tarawera High School’s facilities, which began in 2014.
Tarawera High School’s official opening is scheduled for Friday, January 29.
