Kawerau JP service 4 November 2013 Kawerau Justice of the Peace are available every Monday from 10am to 12 noon in the former First National Real Estate offices in the Tarawera Mall.   The drop-in clinic will have at least one JP in attendance to sign documents or provide further information.

New radio station for Kawerau 20 May 2014 A new community radio will launch in Kawerau next month. Galaxy FM will host an official opening night from 2pm to 10pm on June 5, which will coincide with Matariki. Galaxy FM broadcasts at 107FM and will play a wide range of music.
